How do I begin services?

Do you offer Telehealth or In-Person Services?
I offer tele-health through a HIPAA regulated video meeting platform called Simple Practice.
I also offer in person services in Boonton, NJ. If you use Apple Maps the address is 550 Elcock Ave, Boonton, NJ. If you use Waze or Google Maps the address is 550 W Main Street, Boonton, NJ.
Do you accept insurance?
While I am not in-network with insurance, I do engage in courtesy filing for out-of-network coverage. This means that after each session I will submit a claim to your insurance on your behalf. If you have out-of-network coverage, you can expect to receive 60-80% of the session cost reimbursed to you within 2-4 weeks of session. If you are curious what this would look like, reach out! I have a lovely system that allows me to gather information about what your personal reimbursement would look like.
How are fees collected?
Payment is collected in full at the start of each session. I accept all credit cards, FSA, and HSA.
Which therapy approach do you rely on?
Typically in treatment I rely on DBT, CBT, and Existential Therapy. When providing trauma treatment I engage in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ERP (Exposure Response Prevention).
I would describe myself as an “eclectic therapist” meaning that I find it necessary to adapt my approach to each client’s individual needs/desires.
What does the 20-minute consultation look like?
Typically I prefer to meet for our consultation virtually as it helps client’s determine whether or not they feel comfortable. I will, however, happily hold our consultation meeting via phone call.
The consultation generally consists of information gathering, a review of fees/insurance and practice policies, and most importantly the opportunity to determine if we are a good match!
