About Me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You might be wondering if you’ll feel comfortable, understood, or if this will actually help. Those questions matter—and finding the right fit is an important part of the process.

I specialize in trauma and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, working with individuals who feel stuck in patterns shaped by past experiences. This can show up as anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from yourself. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, genuine, and affirming—where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are.

My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based care. I integrate EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Existential Therapy to help you process trauma, regulate emotions, and build more effective ways of coping and relating. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all—we’ll tailor the work to your needs, your goals, and your pace.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults across a range of settings, including supporting neurodivergent young adults and individuals navigating trauma, identity exploration, and complex mental health challenges. Across this work, one thing remains central: a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change.

I offer a free consultation so you can get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit for you.

Outside of therapy, I value balance, creativity, and connection. I enjoy spending time with my partner and our three cats, getting outside when I can, and unwinding with everything from horror movies to reality TV.

Below are pictures and descriptions of my kitties, they will often join our virtual sessions to keep us company!

Joe Bioletti, LPC

This is Ruth! She is the cat that will visit us most during sessions. Nicknames- Rudy-Ru, Ruthie Bean, Lil Ru.

This is Sasha! Sadly, because of me, she doesn’t quite know her name because I can’t help but call her “SHTINKY!”. This has become the only name she responds to.

This is Penny! She is the sleepiest of the bunch, but when she gets her zoomies you better get out of her way. Nicknames- Lil Pen, Penny Wenny, Miss Pen.

The first step is scary, let us take it together!
